Last night me and Sean had an argument. It was nothing major, in the end, but it did show up my total inability to talk openly. That seems to be a skill I'm losing. Which is worrying. The problem revolved around the fact that we don't plan when we're going to do the deed and so we end up leaving it to the last moment when it's too late and too cold for Sean to walk home (we have to come to mine to do anything - long story)
It started when Sean asked if I wanted to watch another episode of Dark Angel or go to bed. When I asked for claification of "go to bed" he told me that he meant sleep, he didn't feel in the mood for anything else. I felt hurt, but I said we might as well watch more of the sexy girl on TV (left, from Celebs Heaven). Did I mention that I was trying, and failing, to hide my disappointment? It felt that recently any time I tried to show I had an interest in engaging in sexual activities I was knocked back. He was too tired. He had too much work to do. He was too stressed. Can't sex help cure two of those three? After our problems of not wanting / having sex often enough, finally realising the fact and then even setting up a blog to try to monitor how well we actually are doing, he just knocks me back everytime. And I thought it was my fault that all of these problems arose: two years ago-ish I started feeling bad. Infact, I've posted about it before. Along with alienating myself from my friends and watching over 6 hours of TV a night, I also let our sex life disappear. We still did it now and then. But Sean felt guilty for asking for more, so didn't... he pretended that he was okay with once a fortnight...
Anyway, most of that is solved now - for a start I got off of the hormones. So there I was, trying to tell him that I wanted to make love to him, and he said no. I know I'm meant to be the submissive one, that I see to his needs and when he says no he means no. I couldn't help but show my disappointment though.
He asks me what it is that I want to do. I don't want to answer, partly because of my difficulty of saying rude things out loud. I finally manage to string a sentence together, "I want to take advantage of the fact that I'm not on..." A lame answer, I know. But that was mostly what I felt like. He sighs, "Well, I guess that's the best I'm going to get out of you. Come on then."I look at him. What?
After some prompting, I'm suddenly getting my coat on and walking with him to mine. I'm confused. He doesn't want to: he's too tired... but now he does? Even though its close to midnight. I say as much. He gets angry, or at least frustrated, and wonders out loud if he's ever allowed to change his mind. I think I shed some tears, and more probably fell after he changed his mind as then I wasn't concentrating on holding them back any more. He's totally exasperated about the fact that I seem more upset now he's agreed. I just wish that I could be less of a sissy-cry-pants. Less of a brat that needs to get her own way, and will cry until she's manipulated whoever it is who's keeping her from getting what she wants. That brat needs a real hard spank.
So, yes, in the end I did get my way. And he was rough with me, because he was angry. Rough was just the way I wanted it, too.
